One of the highlights of the Rugby 1st 2019 Girls NSWJRU State Championships was the “Rugby 1st Spirit of Rugby Medal”.
All our female representative players that were competing at Boronia Park, Hunters Hill on the first two days of the Rugby 1st 2019 Girls NSWJRU State Championships were eligible. This is across all age groups U13, U15 & U17 and the award went to the girl that most exhibits the skills, passion and spirit that has made women’s rugby such a growth sport in Australia.
The winner of the award was decided by a selection panel of some of our finest junior rugby Rep selectors.
Rugby 1st are proud to announce that the 2019 ““Rugby1st Spirit of Rugby Medal” winner was Ambryn Haua Murphy from the Southern Districts U15 team. The award was presented by former Wallaby & Rugby 1st Director Adrian “Moose” Skeggs and former Walleroo Mollie Gray.
Adrian made comment that “It was a great privilege to have Wallaroo Mollie Gray pictured with Ambryn to present the award and give the girls a great motivational speech of her journey to becoming a Wallaroo. Massive thanks to Rhino Rugby and Experience Sport for donating the prize”.
